Tapedeck, all three. Ju came with some bars but Tape straight bulldozed over him. The only criticism I have? Can we stick to dissing the person in front of you? That’s the point. We all understand Dia doesn’t have arms and legs and is tight with Tape.
From what I’ve seen, this is a well deserved Battle Of The Month here at CTHIPHOP.Net…

Hartford, CT – July 27, 2012 – MIC ON DECK Entertainment’s “Unified Hip Hop” series will be celebrating the birthdays of MIC ON DECK’s own Tapedeck 1 & M.I.C. at Sully’s Pub, located at 2071 Park Street in downtown Hartford, CT. The featured artists of the night are Mikey D of Main Source and Mr. Freeze of The Jazzy Five MCs. The show will continue to focus on bringing together the hip hop elements, the old school with the new, and unifying our hip hop community for a very positive movement. It will feature all nine elements of hip hop, involving some of the area’s best underground hip hop artists, DJ’s, graffiti artists, b-boys, beatboxers, & teachers of the fifth element.
Queens, NYC native Mikey D is best known as an NYC battle legend, his work alongside the L.A. Posse and as the lead emcee of Main Source alongside Sir Scratch & K-Cut, as Mike replaced Large Professor in 1994. Mikey D was proclaimed “best MC in the world” after defeating Melle Mel & many others round by round at the New Music Seminar in 1988. Mr. Freeze, aka Chuck Freeze, represents the Soundview Houses of the South Bronx, NYC. His full crew was “DJ Jazzy Jay, DJ Red Alert & The Jazzy Five MCs with DJ Afrika Bambaataa”. The Jazzy Five MC’s current members are Mr. Freeze, the Master Ice, AJ Les, the Master Dee, Master Bee, & newest member Mikey D. The group, founded by MC Sundance in the mid 1970’s, was well known for recording the first hip hop single on Tommy Boy Records in 1981 called “Jazzy Sensation”.
The show will be hosted by Self Suffice, and features music by DJ Sherm Larock. There are going to be live performances by Mikey D, Mr. Freeze, Asylum Lifetime, Rockoleone ft. DJ Stress, Bad For Business (Dia the Limbless MC and Tapedeck 1), Mully ft Con-Man & Frank White presenting his new group Bangfield. There will be a live b-boy jam featuring breaker crew Zulu Bratz 860, and a live graffiti exhibition by Mufasa RKG of Bucket Fresh Studios. There will also be a beatbox cypher featuring DJ King Ruckus of Universal Zulu Nation/Galactic Humanz Massachusetts.

Tapedeck1 is that dude. Much respect to him; often when there is a bigger name in hip-hop coming through the state, he has something to do with it. Him and Dia (rea) are a potent mix too (Bad For Business). Watch for more posts on this dude, for real. Considering that it’s Christmas and you’ve spent a bunch of money on things for other people that aren’t really what they wanted, why not treat yourself to this? 5 bucks gets you dope music… a full meal too not some 10 minute “fuck you pay me” type of artwork.
